Key Note: In Planally, “projects” can mean creating a contract, tender, research initiative, product, audit, or any other entity defined by your workflow. The steps below apply universally, but examples here use projects for clarity.
Dashboards in Planally provide real-time visibility into your workflows, projects, and activities. They help you track progress, monitor performance, and navigate projects easily—all from one place.
¶ Overview
Dashboards are your central hub for monitoring progress and performance across workflows. They consolidate key workflow data into visual summaries, helping you:
- Track project and activity status at a glance.
- Identify delays and priorities instantly.
- Navigate projects without switching between multiple views or reports.
By centralizing information, dashboards empower teams to make informed decisions quickly and keep everyone aligned on priorities.

- My Dashboard: View of your projects and activity data via key widgets.
- Portfolio: High-level overview of all projects across your workflow phases.
- Overview: Detailed list of projects for quick scanning and navigation.
¶ Dashboard Types
¶ 1. My Dashboard
My Dashboard summarizes everything related to your work in one view. My Dashboard shows you data for your own
Widgets include:
- Total Projects: Number of projects you are assigned to.
- Total Activities: All activities across your projects.
- My Activities: All activities assigned to you across your projects.
- Roadmap Portfolio: Display of all projects across workflow phases
- My Activities: Activities grouped by status (Completed, In Progress, Planned).
- Burndown Chart: Quick view of workload distribution and progress trends.
- Pending Approvals: List of any pending endorsments and approvals for assigned activities.
- Recent Comments: List of recent discussion posts across your projects.
This view helps you stay organized and prioritize tasks effectively without navigating through multiple projects.
¶ 2. Portfolio View
Portfolio View provides a high-level overview of all projects within a workflow, displayed in a grid format. Each project card shows:
- Project Name
- Current Phase
- Colour-Coded Progress Bar indicating overall progress.
You can also filter the portfolio by attributes such as Roadmap and Area, making it easier to focus on projects most relevant to your role or department.

The Overview dashboard lists all projects within a workflow in a structured table format. It includes:
- Project Name
- Roadmap
- Current Phase
- Overall Progress
- Current Phase Status
This view is ideal for quick scanning and navigation, allowing you to locate specific projects or review progress across several initiatives at a glance. It is especially helpful for operational reviews and bulk project management.
